Chris may be best known for winning the 2016 British Arrows New Director, but he’s been winning awards from the beginning. While he was still at Central St Martins, he won the MTV Annual Competition for his VH1 idents and was selected for D&AD New Blood.
After Watford College’s advertising course, he spent a few years writing ads before coming home to directing.
Chris’ hilarious comedy short, Deliveries Before Dawn film won big at British Arrows and Kinsale, and its observational charm and wry humour helped him to land a Christmas campaign for Cadburys, creating 24 films one for every day of advent.
5* work for The Sunday Times followed and recent campaigns include the much loved Rowse ‘Three Bears’ and Range Rover ‘Mother of All Speedbumps’ which has become the brands most watched film on Youtube.
When he’s not pointing a camera, he’s snowboarding down mountains, and his love of both led him to shoot a promo for the first ever British Paralympic Snowboard Team who went on to compete in the PyeongChang games.
Chris’s current side project is a series of mockumentaries that poke fun at online news reporting sites. The aptly named [It’s Niche That] explores some of Britain’s most curious individuals and their absurd ‘passion projects’.
