Kenny’s first endeavor in the director’s chair came in 2008 when he wrote and co-directed the comedic short “The Dude,” which was viewed over 2 million times on YouTube and went on to become a campaign for “Bud Light.”
Since then he’s earned accolades from top festivals including Communication Arts, British D&AD, the One Show, the Art Director’s Club and Cannes Lions.
Kenny has brought his talent for relatable, matter-of-fact comedic storytelling to commercials for Foot Locker, FedEx, GE, New York Lottery and many other brands. Among the highlights are a series of spots he directed for Foot Locker (BBDO NY), credited with prompting the “Fight of the Century” between boxing greats Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather. A Sporting News article said Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach credited Kenny’s Foot Locker Week of Greatness commercial with shaming Mayweather into finally agreeing to fight Pacquiao.
In 2015, Creativity labeled him a “comedic master” in their annual production company A-List.
Kenny is also a children’s book author. His latest book, Phil Pickle, is currently 1,200,534 on Amazon’s book best sellers rank.
